Creative and Inspirational Quotes
What do they mean to me?
I love reading inspiring quotes, especially when they resonate with me creatively. A quote written for whatever reason by another person can then inspire or encourage the reader, giving them validation that others have felt the same unexplained feelings at some point.
A quote can be read as part of a person's daily routine to assist them with feeling positive. We all experience life's ups and downs; it is fair to say that we would not be living if we didn't. Some of us, like myself, use positive words and quotes to uplift us or help us deal with a broken heart or even and argument we may have had with someone close to our hearts. It may be only one word or an entire quote, but our body acknowledges accordingly, whatever the case.
I know not everyone can understand when I say that words do lend us a hand, so to speak, when we need it. You maybe thinking to yourself right now that this is all a load of BS, but honestly, do you know that each day we read, and we may not realise at the time, it does impact how we feel? Like for instance, a birthday card from a loved one or a favourite song we listen to while driving to work. Both examples make us feel happy and loved, and for whatever reason, each person's words validate our emotions.
So, the quotes I have found moving for different emotional reasons throughout my life have been............
My first quote is from the beautiful Maya Angelou. This woman has inspired me and given me courage and determination to push forward no matter what obstacles stand in my way.
" You may write me down in history with your bitter, twisted lines. You may tread me in the very dirt, but still, like dust, I'll rise." - Maya Angelou
My second quote, again my Maya Angelou, resonates with my being a poet and inspiring many with my poetry.
"I've learned that people will forget what you said, what you did, but never how you made them feel". - Maya Angelou
My third quote is from Helen Keller. Every word i have ever written as a poet has been from my heart. It is like my heart is speaking through my fingers. which is one of my most beautiful things.
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched- they must be felt with the heart." - Helen Keller
I have so many quotes that have touched me at different times in my life and for various emotions that I have experienced at that moment. My love for writing for myself and others to be touched and inspired is worth no amount of money. I am blessed to have been the light to many people through my books and words. A quote will always remind us of when a time stood still for a split second before turning to the next page of our life storybook.
