Kelly is a poet, author, mother, and survivor who turned her journey of trauma, healing, and resilience into a source of strength for others.
She is a proud mother of twin boys, now grown, and has walked the complex path of parenting through adversity. With lived experience of domestic violence, complex PTSD, and life-altering health challenges, including the loss of her bladder and living with a urostomy, Kelly brings deep compassion, insight, and authenticity to every word she writes and every space she holds.
Her work is built on the belief that every young person has a story worth telling, even if they’re still finding the words.
Voiceless Secrets is more than a book or workshop, it’s a movement for youth expression, healing, and empowerment.
Created by poet and lived experience advocate Kelly Amanda Lee, this initiative offers a safe space for teens and young adults to explore what they’re feeling inside, especially when the words are hard to find.
Through creative writing, reflective journaling, and gentle guidance,
Voiceless Secrets helps young people process life’s challenges and discover the quiet strength of their own voice.
Whether it’s participating in a workshop, diving into the interactive poetry journal, or simply reading words that feel like your own, this space is here for you.
Expression is healing. And every young voice matters, even the quiet ones.
To help teens and young adults turn their unspoken feelings into written truth.
To offer tools that support emotional wellbeing, trauma recovery, and self-awareness.
To remind every young person:
your story matters, and your voice is powerful.
You’ve ever stayed quiet to protect yourself. If you’ve felt like no one would understand. If you’ve carried emotions too big for words, or truths too heavy to say out loud. Voiceless Secrets is here for you.
This is your space, where poetry meets healing, and silence transforms into strength. Through writing, journaling, and shared expression, you're invited to let go of what weighs you down and find freedom in your voice, in your way, in your time.
Voiceless Secrets is a creative mental health initiative offering young people the space to explore their inner world, through poetry,
journaling, and self-expression.
Founded by poet and lived experience advocate Kelly Amanda Lee, it was born from a truth too many know:
Not every story is easy to share. And not every voice feels ready to speak.
Whether it's pain, confusion, silence, or survival, Voiceless Secrets
meets young people where they are, without judgment.
Voiceless Secrets is more than just reading poetry, it’s a guided journey of reflection, writing, and emotional growth for young people. Through carefully selected poems and thoughtful prompts, readers are invited to process their emotions, reflect on their experiences, and begin to explore their identity, all at their own pace.
At the heart of Voiceless Secrets is a choose-your-path journaling experience that encourages creative expression and healing:
Poem Reflections: Each poem opens a door for connection. Readers are asked to reflect on emotions stirred, key lines, and deeper meanings.
Personal Writing Prompts: Activities like “Letter to Your Past Self,” “I Am” poems, and acrostics help build self-awareness and personal voice.
Creative Exercises: From drawing based on emotional themes to building mind maps (e.g., The Caged Bird), readers are supported in exploring complex feelings visually and verbally.
Affirmation & Manifesto Writing: Young people write statements of strength, hope, and values — reminding them of who they are and who they’re becoming.
Workshops bring the journal to life in a supportive group setting. Facilitated by lived experience advocate Kelly Amanda Lee, these sessions use poetry and reflection to help young people:
Express emotions safely
Build self-confidence and resilience
Connect with others through shared experiences
Workshops are trauma-informed, age-appropriate, and can be tailored for schools, youth centres, or online delivery.
We partner with educators, youth workers, and community leaders to make
Voiceless Secrets accessible and impactful in their settings.
Access to journals and creative tools
Resource guides for structured or open-ended use
Flexible delivery options to suit your needs
