In Queensland each year, more than 3000 individuals are diagnosed with breast cancer.

For the month of October those people who have a loved one affected by breast cancer are also given the opportunity to show support and respect to those who are grieving, inspire others who are in remission or their breast cancer journey.

It is an opportunity to promote awareness, education and focus on how important it is to remain breast aware.
Such changes, changes in size or shape, changes to the nipple or the skin of the breast being red or dimpling or unusual pain.
Although most changes are not due to breast cancer it is necessary you see your doctor without delay.

The Australian Government has provided Cancer Australia in 2006 with information to inform all Australians.
